Attics
and basements all over the world are full of family treasures. Cherished family
pieces that have been handed down for generations. All to many times it's only one
half of that family heirloom or when the box is opened it is full of broken pieces.
Most of the time Patricia is able to match the colors and artwork to create a replacement
shade that matches the original. Patricia has also replaced parts to tea sets and
dresser sets, sometimes adding trays or other pieces that were not included with the
original antique sets. |
Here is a family heirloom ( a working Civil War Era
oil lamp ) that was brought to Victorian Reflections as pictured in A. The lampshade had
been broken and the owner needed a new one to match. |

|
|
| A. The lamp as brought to Victorian Reflections |
| B. The precise matching of a glass top. |
| C. The exact shading to complement the bottom. |
D. The finished product as returned to the customer.
|
On the
following pages are many more examples of Patricia's work. Each of these lamps came to us
broken and unusable. They have been returned to their rightful place as family heirlooms.

Do
to the nature of this type of custom work we must have as many of the pieces that you can
find (even if broken ). It's the only way we can match the existing colors and
artwork. If you have just the bottom, send it. Patricia has almost 20 years
experience and can almost always tell by looking at the base what type and size shade
belongs with it. We promise to treat them with care. After receiving
your lamp we can e-mail you a picture showing your base with the new white shade on it so
that you can confirm that we are using the shape and size that you remember. Here
are easy to follow shipping
instructions or you may want to E-mail or
phone us if you have any other questions. |
