student hard at work

If you are one of the many artists who does not have the advantage of having teachers come to your area you may want to consider coming to Gatlinburg and painting with Patricia.  Many artists come and go home with a completed lamp or sink.  These lessons are by appointment only as Patricia needs to work around her custom painting and antique replacement calendar.  If you wish I can recommend a couple of nice motels or rental chalets, we have a friend with a bed and breakfast ( we furnished the lamps and sinks in a few of their suites.)

Here are some more shots of the Great Smoky Mountains as seen from our front porch.

Patricia has painted with many of the nations finer teachers such as Betty Humphreys, Barbara Bougher, Norma Gulock, Jane Bowen, Catherine Woods, Doris Richeson, Sharon Steen, Jean Fehl, Andrew Orr,  Barbara Ramsey-Snow, Frances Braxton, Mary Ashcroft and San Do just to name a few.

She has also attended several of the excellent programs put on each year at the Anderson College Porcelain Art School in Anderson Indiana. And this year attended the WOPC School in Pueblo Colorado, held at the campus of the University of Southern Colorado.

Either of these schools is an opportunity that should not be passed up if it's at all possible for you to attend.

This November (2002) Patricia will be teaching The art of air brushing on both Porcelain and Glass ant the Florida State show.

Several traveling teachers have used Gatlinburg as a lay over point between lessons and seminars.  We are midway to just about every place east of the Mississippi.  If you find yourself in the area give us a call maybe we can work out a little barter trade, sleep and eat at our house enjoy the view and the Great Smoky Mts. National Park and share your talent either in a seminar for our Knoxville Club or private lessons for Patricia and one or two others.
